Rules and how to play →Batak is a four-player trick-taking game played with a standard 52-card deck. You declare how many tricks you will take before a card is played; make your bid and you score, miss it and you go under. The name means exactly that — to sink.
It sits in the same family as bridge and pinochle but has taken its own shape in Turkey: spades are always trump, bidding is an open auction, and a strict follow-suit rule forces the table to count. What your opponents bid matters as much as what you hold.
Batak is not live on Masabaşı yet. The rules below describe how it will play when it arrives.
