What is Masabaşı?

An independent project that moves the games you'd play sitting around a table into the browser, without losing the feeling of sitting around a table.

Why it exists

Most card and table games online sit behind an ad wall or a signup form. But these are games you play in relaxed places — nobody fills in a registration form before sitting down at a table.

So Masabaşı was built around one sequence: type your name, set the table, share the code. There is no step in between.

The rules belong to the players

Every one of these games is played slightly differently at every table. Can you stack a +2 on a +2? Does a 7 swap hands? These questions don't have a correct answer — they have a table's answer.

That's why we don't hide the rules. In ONE all 62 settings sit in front of you while you set the table, and everyone can see which rules the game is running on.

What it isn't

Masabaşı is not a betting or gambling site. There is no real money, no chips, no virtual currency, no house and no prizes — the only thing you win is the hand.

It isn't affiliated with any game company either. UNO is a registered trademark of Mattel; ONE is an independent app and is not connected with that trademark.

How it's built

A web application written with open-source tools: Next.js, React and TypeScript. The game rules run on the server, so no player can change the rules from their own browser.

The cards aren't images — they're drawn entirely in CSS. That's why they stay sharp at any screen size and why pages load fast.
