Rules and how to play →Backgammon is played by two people on a board of 24 points with fifteen checkers each. You roll dice, move your checkers toward your home board, and win by bearing them all off first. It looks simple; what separates a strong player is not the roll but choosing correctly among the options the roll opens up.
Known in Turkey as tavla, it's a game almost everyone has played and almost every table plays slightly differently. Making points, entering from the bar, counting a gammon — all familiar, all argued about.
Backgammon is not live on Masabaşı yet. The rules below describe how it will play when it arrives.
